The ICA Mobile Pre-Conference is an interdisciplinary gathering for scholars, researchers, and practitioners who are interested in mobile communication, mobile media, and mobility at large. This is the 12th Annual Meeting of #ICAmobile.
The mobile pre-con is an open space for presenting and learning about the latest ideas concerning the implications of mobile media and behavior. Ideas presented at the mobile pre-conference consistently go on to be published in peer-reviewed journals and influence the theoretical foundation of mobile research.
This year, the pre-conference will include a workshop for emerging scholars, to provide a forum where graduate students, new faculty, and early scholars can present and discuss their research with more experienced mobile researchers, as an opportunity to establish and nurture a supportive and integrated community. Additionally, the pre-conference also features a “best paper” competition, Professor. James E. Katz (Boston University) as the closing keynote speaker, and other fun and engaging extra-curricular activities.
This year the organizing committee is headed by Jun Liu, Sunny Lee, and Lali Puig Abril. The wider organizing committee includes Joe Bayer, Maxwell Foxman, Rich Ling, Katy Pearce, Brett Oppegaard, Veronika Karnowski, Andrew Schrock… plus others who are not on the current email thread and so shall remain nameless.
To contact the organizers, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
